We will start a new journal the \"Japanese Journal of Statistics and Data Science (JJSD)\". For the launch of the new journal in June 2018, submission acceptance to the new journal is scheduled to start from August, 2017. The manuscript is subject to the refereeing system, and will not be returned to the authors. All manuscripts should be accompanied by a letter or e-mail with both full postal and e-mail addresses of corresponding authors. Papers must not be submitted elsewhere at the same time.<\/p>\r\n<h2>Preparation of Manuscripts<\/h2>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The manuscript should be written in English and word-processed with double spacing and wide margins. Key words and phrases should be given in alphabetical order. For the details, please follow the format in a recent issue or the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jss.gr.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/guide-e.pdf\">Guidelines for Manuscripts<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n<h2>LaTeX Style File<\/h2>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Authors whose papers are accepted for publication must send the final version on disk. LaTeX2e files compiled using the Journal Style File are preferred, and must be accompanied by all figures in EPS format. The Journal Style File jjss-2e.sty is available at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jss.gr.jp\/en\/publications\/style-jjsse\/\">https:\/\/www.jss.gr.jp\/en\/publications\/style-jjsse\/<\/a><\/p>\r\n<h2>Copyright and Offprints<\/h2>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">JJSS is copyrighted, and authors must sign a copyright transfer to JSS before publication. When one of co-authors of a paper is a member of JSS, thirty offprints will be provided free of charge to the author. Further offprints can be purchased from the publisher.<\/p>\r\n<h2>From the Editorial Board<\/h2>\r\n<ol>\r\n\t<li>Authors should keep a complete copy of the manuscript for themselves.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>The corresponding authors will receive galley proofs once. Please note that only corrections of misprints are permitted.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Corresponding authors with membership receive 30 gratis offprints. Nonmember authors should pay the expense.
