Information for Authors
The English Journal of The Japan Statistical Society (JJSS)
publishes articles that make original contributions to the methodology,
theoretical development and application of statistics.
- Submission of Papers
- To submit a manuscript to JJSS, either e-mail a copy in PDF or PS
form to the Editor(Masanobu Taniguchi : taniguchi atmark waseda.jp)
of the English Journal, or send three paper copies to the office at
The Japan Statistical Society c/o Statistical Information Institute for Consulting and Analysis(Sinfonica) Nohgakushorin Building 5F, 3-6 Kanda Jimboucho Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, 101-0051, Japan. The manuscript
is subject to the refereeing system, and will not be returned to the
authors. All manuscripts should be accompanied by a letter or e-mail
with both full postal and e-mail addresses of corresponding authors.
Papers must not be submitted elsewhere at the same time.
- Preparation of Manuscripts
- The manuscript should be written in English and word-processed with
double spacing and wide margins. Key words and phrases should be given
in alphabetical order. For the details, please follow the format in
a recent issue or the "Guidelines for Manuscripts" described
in the Directory of Members, which is available at http://www.jss.gr.jp/en/journal/authors.html.
- LaTeX Style File
- Authors whose papers are accepted for publication must send the
final version on disk. LaTeX2e files compiled using the Journal Style
File are preferred, and must be accompanied by all figures in EPS
format. The Journal Style File jjss-2e.sty is available at http://www.jss.gr.jp/en/journal/style-jjss.html.
- Copyright and Offprints
- JJSS is copyrighted, and authors must sign a copyright transfer
to JSS before publication. When one of co-authors of a paper is a
member of JSS, thirty offprints will be provided free of charge to
the author. Further offprints can be purchased from the publisher.
